Let's Ace Your Auditions.
Auditioning for Grad School this year? I've got your back.
If you're new here, welcome! My name's Mimi and I'm an actor and coach passionate about helping others navigate the MFA audition process. I know firsthand that it can be a grueling and emotional experience, so it's my goal to help you craft compelling auditions that feel authentic to you, so the prospect of sharing your work is more exciting than daunting.

I find that we achieve the most success when we're auditioning from a place of ease, joy, and of course, confidence. So... how can we get you there, together?

What I offer in my MFA coaching package:
-
Free consultation Zoom call before you book anything! Any questions you got, lay 'em on me.

-
Once you're booked and ready to go, I'll send over a Welcome Pack explaining everything you'll need to prep individually before we start coaching. This will include self reflective and journaling prompts geared toward helping you understand your "aces" as an actor and why you want to pursue this work, information about how to start looking for monologue selections yourself, and ideas to get you thinking about your written artistic statement(s) and how to prepare for the dreaded "why do you want to go to grad school" question. ;)

-
We'll correspond over email about your material / monologue choices. If and when you have some selected on your own, I'll give them a read and let you know my thoughts. If there's anything you need help sourcing... I got you. I'm sitting on a stockpile of unique and dynamic monologues that will help you shine.

-
Once we've shored up your monologue choices, we'll hop on a 1 hour Zoom call to read through your monologues and make a plan to coach them over our next four sessions. During this time, we'll also take a look at the list of programs you're applying to and make sure that your monologues meet the length, style, and genre requirements of the schools on your list.

-
At your convenience, we'll schedule four, 1 hour Zoom sessions to coach your monologues thoroughly. These coachings will cover the main four pieces you'll use the most often in your auditions. If you'd like to add on additional sessions to work on the other additional pieces you may have, that can be arranged!

-
Finally, we'll schedule a 1 hour Zoom call to run a "mock audition." We'll go through interview questions you could be asked in the room and you'll present all your prepared pieces so you have practice running through all of them. I'll give you some re-directions and notes, too, so you get a sense of how you might need to adjust your monologues on the day, quick on your feet.

-
From there, it's about time for your auditions! You can always get in touch via WhatsApp and email if any questions come up or if you'd like to schedule any top up sessions.

Some Sparknotes on Mimi
LAMDA - MFA in Professional Acting
I went through the grad school audition process in 2021-2022 and recently completed my own MFA at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) - ranked consistently in the Hollywood Reporter's list of the top 10 best drama schools in the world. I was lucky enough to have some great options to choose from for my MFA and ultimately had a transformative 2 years in London.
Experienced Coach
I founded my own private coaching studio in 2018, after training as a teaching artist and working with Broadway Artists Alliance of New York City. Since then, I have led workshops, classes, and private sessions for students all across the US and UK.
Monologue Specialist
Simply put - I read a lot of plays and constantly add to my stockpile of fantastic monologues for actors of all ages and backgrounds. My experience, too, as a writer and performer in my own right has given me unique insight into identifying my students' strengths and pairing it with the perfect pieces to help them stand out.
