LAMDA

I'm a proud '24 graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art's MFA in Professional Acting program! When I decided to audition for graduate conservatories, I knew I wanted to find an environment that would connect me with lifelong creative partners, deepen my creative impulses, and provide a space to fail forward and succeed joyfully - in equal measure. My two years there were monumental in my growth as an actor and person.

First Year Training

In the first year of the two year MFA in Professional Acting course, we focused solely on skills based training. From 9am - 6pm each day we studied everything from Meisner technique, Laban, song interpretation, yoga, clowning, scene study, text analysis, Shakespeare in performance, Michael Chekhov technique, mime, voice... and more! My "actor's toolkit" has been permanently stocked, as well as my wardrobe with a never ending supply of black movement clothing. ;)

Second Year Performances

Once our first year of training concludes, we spend our second year performing in a repertory season of productions! LAMDA is unique in that each graduating student performs in four full scale, industry facing shows, and I certainly had the chance to showcase the range of skills I'd been honing in the four roles I had the privilege to work on: Tracey in Sweat by Lynn Nottage, Queen Victoria in The Gift by Janice Okoh, Pauline in A Bright New Boise by Samuel Hunter, and the Soothsayer / Octavius Caesar in Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare!

Screen and Audio

Part of what drew me to LAMDA was its dual emphasis on training for the stage and screen/audio. We've had the opportunity to work with exceptional filmmakers, directors and editors as well as top notch organizations in the voiceover world like Audible and Side. Throughout my training, I've filmed duologues, monologues, as well as worked on a professional short film set. I've written and created my own short film in a single day, and I've also been able to grow my knowledge of and experience in the voiceover industry by recording numerous audio dramas, reels, and more!

Exciting Opportunities

As exciting as the official rep and screen/audio opportunities were at LAMDA, the self led creative endeavors were just as fulfilling! Whether it was performing an all out version of "Ex-Wives" from Six at the annual Musical Theater concert with some of my favorite people, singing for the entire school with my best friend and favorite collaborator, Kristen Misthopoulos, creating an original, forty minute devised show for LAMDA's CoLAB festival, working with and performing for London school children through our production of Julius Caesar, celebrating how far we've come during LAMDA's UK showcase... it's been a beautiful ride with these folks!
